CØMPVND V tests the limits of the five core components of strength & conditioning.
Athletes will be tested across the four foundational movement patterns: Hinge, Squat, Push, and Pull.
The final test measures the athlete's endurance, resilience, and will.
Deadlift
Athletes will have two attempts to establish a 1-rep max under powerlifting rules.
The highest successful lift will be scored.
Belt, chalk, and sumo stance are allowed; wrist wraps or other grip aids are not allowed.
Pull Up
Athletes will attempt a max repititions of pull ups (pronated grip) or chin ups (supinated grip).
One continuous attempt. No regripping or leaving the bar.
The bar must make contact with the throat or upper chest for the rep to count
Full lockout of the elbows is required at the bottom of each rep.
Wall Balls
Athlete will complete as many repetitions as possible within a 3-minute time cap.
Each rep must include a full squat with the hip crease clearly below parallel.
The med ball must make contact with designated target for the rep to count.
Reps failing to meet depth or target standards will be ruled a “no rep.”
Men’s standards: 20 lbs. to 10 ft. target.
Women’s standard: 12 lbs. to 9 ft. target.
Bench Press
Athletes will perform max repetitions without re-racking the bar.
The bar must touch the torso on each rep.
Full elbow lockout is required for the rep to count.
The athlete’s shoulders and glutes must remain in contact with the bench at all times.
Men’s weight: 185 lbs.
Women’s weight: 85 lbs
The Race
Athletes will compete in scheduled waves through the cardio circuit.
Final ranking will be based on total time to complete the following sequence:
500m Ski Erg
500m Rower
½ mile Echo Bike
½ mile Run
Transitions between stations are part of the athlete’s overall time.
Grand Prize
$1,000 - Men’s Division Champion
$1,000 - Women’s Division Champion

You do not need to be a member of the gym.

Athletes are ranked in each event. Your overall placing is based on a points-by-rank system across all five events.
The lowest total score wins.
